Silver Bullet Tiny House goes to 3rd Annual Massachusetts Tiny House Festival

September 23rd – 24th, 2017:  3rd Annual Massachusetts Tiny House Festival

Five years ago I was at one of Derek Diedricksen‘s first tiny house workshops. And four years ago Miranda was at one of my first workshops. I introduced them to each other and so it is only fitting that I complete the circle and retire from the tiny house festival circuit at their co-partnered event, the 3rd Massachusetts tiny house festival.

Please come out on the weekend of September 23rd and 24th to Trackside Plaza in Stoughton, MA.and see a dozen or more tiny houses on wheels!

Vera and the Silver Bullet Tiny House will be at the festival where she will speak about her sustainable tiny life. Bring your sense of humor and tiny house questions.

Comments about her book:
Once I started reading Living the Sustainable Tiny Life, I couldn’t put it down. In addition to Vera’s inspiring personal journey, she gives the reader a detailed look at how and why she designed each element of her house the way that she did. I was surprised to learn that she managed to get her floor to have an R value of 33 with an ingenious design and construction method. I definitely recommend this book for anyone considering but isn’t sure if they can gain the skills required to do it themselves. Living the Sustainable Tiny Life will give you the kick you need to get moving!” – Ethan Waldman, Tiny House Designer/Builder/Dweller/Author of Tiny House DecisionsTiny House Parking

Comments from former attendees:
“If your longing to live the tiny life I highly recommend attending Vera’s workshop as a first step. Not only will you get to see, touch, and feel an actual tiny house but Vera will share with you her story, her experiences, and knowledge gained by extensive research and trial and error. I left her workshop with a bigger appreciation for the Tiny house way of life and for the movement as a whole. I now have a better understanding of the social, economic, environmental, and cultural effects this intentional way of living supports and impacts.
So inspired to start my THOW journey real soon! ” Sophie T.
“I also really enjoyed all the sustainability information that you shared with us. We are definitely starting to see a trend in people who we talk to: those who are environmentally conscious, and those who are financially conscious. I love that your nonprofit strives to show people that they can have both.” Megan M.
“I definitely learned a lot about how tiny houses are constructed, and providing us with some of the building materials you used was incredibly useful. The game we played at the end of the tour also really helped put everything into perspective – it was definitely a great learning process when we wrote down the top 5 things we should consider before building a tiny house.” Jay W.
“I greatly appreciate your willingness to open up your home and heart to us and share with us your values as well as your challenges.” Mika IW.

Trailer modification, design process, framing, sheathing, downsizing transitions, insulation and energy systems will be covered. Includes light refreshments, building samples and 30 minute Q&A session. Bring your sense of humor!!

Tiny Homes of New England Meet-up Group Tour

SBTour1.10.1A group of Tiny Homes of New England Meet-up Members came from 4 states and braved the severe cold to come up and visit the “toasty” Silver Bullet Tiny House this weekend.

They had some great stories of their own and were given the opportunity to learn loads about tiny house planning, living, and designing!

I’m grateful to meet such amazing tiny house members and learn how determined their tiny house passions carry them forward.

Silver Bullet hosts November Meet-up for Greater Boston Tiny House Enthusiasts

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting a dozen tiny house enthusiasts from Greater Boston (great group to hook up with) as they toured the tiny house/classroom and played 3 of the “Silver Bullet Games”. And oh yes, we had some winners!

Such a lovely engaging group asked some really great questions over a myriad of refreshments. Fun was had by all.
